Mornin’!

Not the typical newsletter going out this week. Instead, I wanted to send a quick “thank you” email for your support as a reader these past few months and talk about what’s in store for this newsletter in 2024!

The idea for this newsletter came about in late September out of frustration. I was tired of having to search through various sites, Facebook groups, and newspapers to see what was happening on LBI. I just wanted everything in one central location.

Welp, I guess others were in search of the same thing as we’ve grown to over 3,400 subscribers in 3 months time. And most of that growth is all thanks to you, the readers! Thank you for referring us to friends/family, mentioning us in various groups, and sharing our newsletter on your own social media accounts.

In 2024, I plan to keep the same newsletter you love but improve the formatting a bit. And for those of you who prefer checking a website instead of reading an email, I’m also planning to revamp the site a bit so it’s more user-friendly.

In addition, I’m toying with the idea of creating an “Insider” premium subscription that would cost around $2-3 per month. With that subscription, you’d have access to a month’s worth of events instead of just the upcoming week, exclusive discounts at local shops on the island, and access to Insider-only events throughout the year (i.e. private happy hours).
